Welcome to 42 The Calls Hotel

42 The Calls Hotel is a Grade II listed boutique hotel located along the River Aire in Leeds. Originally built in the 18th century as a corn mill, this site is steeped in local history and was renovated in 1991 to become one of Leeds’ premier destinations for guests visiting the city from all around the world.

Following it’s liquidation in February 2018, the hotel was rescued by local investor Simon Pollard and quickly turned around into a profitable venture for a period of time before it’s closure. Planning began for a luxurious five star redevelopment and now the opportunity is available to complete this project. This page details our original vision and what we believed could be possible to turn this location into the best hotel in the city.

A Luxury Experience in Leeds

This hotel has the opportunity to develop 37 stunningly decorated suites, alongside a range of entertaining spaces that will create a luxury experience for all guests. An exclusive, rooftop champagne bar is also an option to offer guests a secluded and wonderful experience that overlooks the River Aire in all its glory.

There is also scope to add a downstairs champagne bar for the public to enjoy a luxurious haven, full of decadent touches and a selection of top-shelf champagne to indulge in.

Not Just A Place To Lay Your Head

Following an entrance through calm and glamourous corridors, each of the 37 suites will be elegantly decorated, with the design blending high-end, contemporary style with influences reflecting the hotel’s heritage within the industrial revolution, with rough stone finishes, walnut timbers and rich, dark marble tiles.

Softened with smooth leather and concealed lighting, the high-quality finishes provide a decadent suite to relax and indulge within.

Arrive in Style

You can choose to arrive at the hotel in a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce which marks the start of a delightful stay.

Alternatively, if you are travelling by train, you can be greeted at the station’s waterside with the hotel’s very own Riva boat which will take a 5-minute cruise to the hotel’s mooring where each guest will be welcomed with a glass of champagne.

With Five Star Dining and Accommodation

A café bar will transport visitors to beautiful Mediterranean terraces, with scents of freshly roasted coffee and homemade pastries and meals creating a welcoming and warm ambience. The restaurant will offer a gourmet dining experience for all guests, styled to flow with the waterfront location in an elegant setting.

Arriving at the hotel will become a 5-star experience, with the option to arrive via a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce or travel on a Riva boat, cruising you along the River Aire from Leeds Train Station to 42 The Calls, arriving in style.
